  4. matt

Hey, Brock! I’m eleven years old and I LOVE your books! The Quest for Truth series is one of the best books I have ever read!(I’ve read a lot of books!) Your books are soo cool, and exciting! I read Taken and Risk in a matter of a couple hours! I don’t know my exact favorite part, but I like the part in Risk when Oliver takes down Drake! Both of the books are super well written, exciting, fast paced, and just plain AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!! I also love AIO. I often watch the podcast at Whitsend.org. Just wanted to let you know that I’m a HUGE fan!!!

    • Matt thanks so much for letting me know. I turned the edits for book 3, Unleash in. I hope you will like it as much as you have Taken and Risk! I love AIO too! I’m glad you watch the podcast. Do you ever watch the Social Shoutout? Yes, well we may see more of Drex in the next book. But don’t tell anyone I told you that.

  5. matt

yes, I do watch the social shoutouts! Thanks for replying!

  6. the rand family

Our whole family loves your Quest for Truth series. We have read them from parents to kids. They are filled with honor and intrigue. We can hardly wait for Unleashed. We pray for you, your writing, your talents and skills, and your team that is working on your books.

    • What a blessing in my inbox! Thank you so much for your kind encouragement. I have sent this onto my publisher to let them know you are praying for them as well. Please feel free to leave an endorsement on the endorsement page of the site here: http://brockeastman.wordpress.com/endorse-a-book/

Does anyone in your family have a favorite character, invention, or location?

      • the rand family

        Dear Mr. Eastman,
My family’s favorite character is Oliver Wikk and our favorite invention is the E-journal. We have two favorite places which are the cavernous home of the Blauwe Mensen and the ruby canals the Wikks swim in. I would like to tell my family’s theory if it is alright with you. We think Mr. Thule is the underground man working for Ubel and are exited to see if that theory is correct as UNLEASHED unfolds. We are continually praying for you and will get UNLEASHED as soon as we can.
        Regards,
        the Rands.

      • Well. Very good predictions I must say, yet I can’t say if they are true. I do hope you’ll enjoy Unleash it comes out really soon!

  7. Mr. Eastman, I have a question. Can you tell me the ages of Oliver, Tiffany, and the twins. I have an oral presentation tomarrow, and I chose the first book. Can you also tell me the Biblical world views of the 1st book, none of the others.

    • Antonio,

I’ll get back to you in about an hour with the information. We are just sitting down to dinner. Does that work?

      Thanks
      Brock

    • Oliver is 17, Mason and Austin are 11, and Tiffany is 16.

Can you be more specific on the question? What do you mean the world views of the book? My world view, or the worldview presented in Taken.

Is this being recorded and if so can I hear/see a copy when done? I love the idea that you are using Taken for a presentation.

  8. Sorry, I meant the Biblical world view, like looking through the lenses of a Christian in a book that doesn’t mention God. Not saying you aren’t Christian or anything, but the first book didn’t mention God, which was good. My teacher said to get a book that doesn’t mention God and find the Biblical world view. And I meant the world view in TAKEN: The Quest for Truth. And if you give me your email, I’ll get you the copy of my presentation. I can’t send you an audio, but I can send you what I said.

  9. Email me at info@brockeastman.com thanks so much. Sorry I wasnt able to give you more details, I hope your report went well.

The Picture for Tangle is amazing! You can see one of the Wikk twins caught in a tangle of tentacles and seaweed, while His older sibling watches in a mini-sub near either another sub, or and underwater base, which is surrounded and possibly protected by hammer-head sharks! I suddenly can’t wait for this book, even though my copy of Unleash just arrived today. I hope this book is just as good!

  11. Peter

    Brock,
Unleash is AWESOME! It was so good in fact that I read it in one day. I’ve told several of my friends about it and anyone who sees this and hasn’t read Unleash there is only one thing I can say: YOU SHOULD!!! I thought it was interesting that Tiffany had an an important role near the end. I really enjoy how you make everybody important in your writing Brock.
    Sincerely, Peter.

    • Thanks so much for the kind words. I am glad you are enjoying it. If you have a chance please leave this kind review on Amazon. Are you signed up for the eNewsletter? I just released a sketch for the cover of book 4, Tangle.

    • Peter, Thank you so much for your kind kind words. I am so glad you enjoyed it. And the reason is because God made us all important and I want my characters to story that.

  12. Evan

How many books will there be in the series? Just the trilogy, or more?

  13. Hi Brock! I’m still reading Unleash, I just started:) I loved Taken and Risk, and I am purchasing them soon. In my libraries copy of Risk I spotted two typos. One on page 283 and the other on 275. I really like Obbin. And Mason. And Austin. Okay I like all the characters:) When i first started reading, I didn’t like the series. But then I saw how huge it was and how Christian it probably was, and I restarted, and “got myself to like it” I like how it seems you incorporate Rescuer, Creator, and Helper ;) ;) I look forward to Tangle and Hope. BUT PLEASE, don’t stop writing about the Wikks. Just make a new series where they are like a family finding clues.

    Thanks for the awesome books,

    Levi

P.S. THE BLUE PEOPLE ARE AWESOME!

  14. 5 books are currently planned for the series.

  15. jasmine

when will tangle be avalable on kndle tore

  16. To tell you the “Truth” Brock, the reason I looked for your website was because I wanted to get a glimpse of your writing mode, cause I could tell your silly podcast mode wasn’t it:)

    • Levi got it. Well I hope you like it. You can find some sample chapters on the site. The books are Focus on the Family books, so like Adventures in Odyssey you can trust these books will be good.

  17. Ryan

Hey Brock when will Tangle be out in public

    • It will be out Spring 2014! Sorry about the wait. Have you signed up for the eNewsletter?

      • Ryan

What was your idea for The Quest For Series. I just started reading Unleash today and it is really good. How did you come up with obbin because he is a cool character in the books. I cant wait for Tangle and Hope.

  18. @Ryan I’m in the middle or writing Tangle right now. I came up with the Quest while in College. It was actually supposed to be about missionaries in Africa. Obbin, well he just sort of happened and he became a much bigger character then I ever imagined. And the eNewsletter actually works now, I release updates and behind the scenes stuff through it all the time. http://eepurl.com/BBh7D

  19. Ryan

I noticed that in taken it was 303 pages of reading then the glossary and in Risk its 383 pages of reading then the glossary and in Unleash its like 403 are you making each one bigger?

  20. @Ryan it sure seems that way doesnt it. I dont know about this one. I am really behind.

    • Ryan

I am 13 and I love writing do you have any tips for me and how many days a week do you write

  21. @Ryan I write every opportunity I get. Did you see the saga writing opportunity I posted a week or so back? I try to get at least three hours a week in on writing.

    • Ryan

What chapter are you currently writing slash revising? Do you have tips for writing?

  22. Julie

Just wanted to say how much my kids and I enjoy the Quest for Truth series. We are looking forward to seeing where this adventure continues!

    • I am in the process of working on book 4 – TANGLE! I hope you guys will enjoy it as well. Have your kids seen the cover? Have you sined up for the eNewsletter?

  23. matt

    Hey Mr. Eastman!
I’ve been working on a book of my own for about two years. The story has been through so many drafts that the current manuscript is nothing like the first! Your writing has been an inspiration that has fueled my desire to write. Thanks for creating these books! Do you have any advice to a young writer?
    Thanks!
    God bless you

  24. Hi Brock! I’m a thirteen year old boy with a love for realistic fiction and si-fi or futuristic fiction. I just recieved Taken, Risk, and Unleash for Christmas and I loved the first two books!!! By the way, in the beginning of Risk you mentioned someone you knew read it in 30 hours and another in 24, It was so good I read it in 22 hours!! :) Anyway, can’t wait to finish reading Unleash, and looking forward to Tangle, which comes out this Spring. I also wanted to thank you for writing books with good morals and a search for the ultimate Truth. Not many books have those same Christian background imbedded in the story. I’ve read other books (non-Christian futuristic fiction) and they don’t add up in anyway to yours, morals or storyline!!!

  25. Jess

just wanted to say i absolutely love the Quest for Truth series! I can’t wait until Tangle comes out. The cover looks AMAZING!! You are a great writer :). God has given you a great gift!

  26. I love your writing style and will definitely put up reviews as I read your books.

  27. Katharine

    Hi Mr. Eastman!
I LOVE your books! I’ve read the three that are already out. Do you have the date that Tangle will be out?
    Katharine Hope

  28. Hannah Grace

    Hi,
Do you know when Tangle will be out? I am having book withdraw!! :) thanks for your hard work.
    Hannah

  29. Hi Mr. Eastman!
I read the first three books in your Quest for Truth series and loved, I repeat, LOVED them! I even did a book review/essay for school on Taken.
The cover for Tangle looks amazing! Is it Austin who is being dragged down by the tentacles?
And I’ve been wondering, in the first book’s prologue, is it Mr Krank/Brother Sam and Mr. O’Farrel talking? About Mr. O’Farrel’s wife? Or am I completely wrong, and jumping to crazy conclusions… (It wouldn’t be the first time! :) )
Awaiting Tangle with bated breath! :D
    ~sj

    • Sierra,

Great questions and if I answer I might give away the surprises coming! If you look super close at the cover artwork you can tell which twin it is if you recall their different eye colors. Thanks for your encouragement and I hope to have the book to you soon and begin working on the final installment Hope. Thanks for being a Quester.

  30. Ashley Boutte

is Obbin in all of your quest for truth books?

  31. You work with adventures in odyseey so I assumed you were a Christian, and I heard this was a Christian series. But one of your planets is called Cobalt and that is a planet Mormons belive in. So I was wandering if you are mormon or if that was just a coincidence.

    • I didn’t know that about the Mormons. However Cobalt is not a planet but a gorge, and I selected the name because the people in the valley are blue.

  32. Ohh ok! Lol sorry!
